The Somali is the longhair version of the Abyssinian. Bushy tail. Rounded/wedge-shaped face, and large ears set wide. Eyes are large and almond shaped. Most be kept out of cold weather.

- BODY TYPE: Semi-cobby
- COAT TYPE: Longhair
- SIZE: Medium (6 to 12 pounds)
- TEMPERAMENT: Shy, aloof, loves freedom. Not a good apartment cat -- needs plenty of room to run and play. Good with children and other pets. Even-tempered. Inquisitive and clever, so be warned!
- COLORS: Sorrel silver, sorrel, ruddy, blue, cream silver, lavender, blue silver, ruddy silver, chocolate silver, blue-cream.
