The Oriental is a Siamese longhair with a plume tail. Graceful, with a fine, silky coat. Also known as a Mandarin. The "Shorthair" is indistinguishable from a Siamese except in the accepted colorations. Shorthair has a long tubular body with a whippy tail.

• TEMPERAMENT: Highly active and needs lots of attention. Vocal. Highly inquisitive and curious, and will be very inventive at getting at what they're after. This cat will be a "real!!" close companion. High percher. Regardless of your generosity they will end up choosing their own toys.
