The Javanese
|
Do you have a picture of a Javanese that you would like to see here, e-mail us. |
The Javanese is a Siamese with longhair, and differs from the Balinese only in its allowed colorations. Javanese is the name used by CFA for cats of Balinese and Colorpoint Shorthair ancestry. The head is a tapering wedge with a long nose and large eyes and ears. Has the intelligence and grace of a Siamese, the silky coat of the Balinese, and the colors of a Colorpoint Shorthair.
- BREED TYPE: Spontaneous mutation
- BODY TYPE: Foreign
- COAT TYPE: Longhair
- SIZE: Medium
- TEMPERAMENT: An active cat who can sometimes get underfoot. Is very curious and fearless. Will let you know what's on its mind. Good with children. Personality seems to be geared to the color -- tortie points can be a love-hate relationship, a "dizzy" blonde; red and cream points are easy going and devoted; while lynx points are somewhere between regal and dignified and "squirrely"
- COLORS: Point: seal tortie, seal tortie lynx, chocolate tortie, red lynx, blue lynx, seal lynx, chocolate lynx.
