The Chartreux
The Chartreux is the National cat of France, and can be traced back to the 16th Century and the Carthusian Monks. Medium, erect ears with bright yellow eyes on a round face with well developed cheeks. Powerfully built. Dense, woolly double coat and rounded paws. Quite, sometimes a mute. Smiling expression. Comb weekly, do not brush.

- TEMPERAMENT: Passive, friendly and cheerful. Loves the outdoors and hunting. Is tolerant of children and pets. A neutered male may be the best as a pet. Enjoys playing and napping.
