The Welsh Springer Spaniel is a loving family pet that is great with children and usually comfortable with other pets. OK for apartments as long as it gets daily exercise. Probably better suited for a rural environment where it is allowed to run in a confined area. Lack of exercise can lead to an overweight, bored companion. Maintain their coat with weekly brushing, and always check their ears for dirt or infection.
