The Vizsla will need early training and a strong owner to turn into a family dog that will be good with children. They need lots of exercise and, because they are hunters, may not do well with pets other than canines. The Vizsla is not an apartment dog, and should have a controlled outside environment at its disposal. They need your attention, and if that's withheld for periods of time they could become destructive (chewing). Their coat is short and needs only occasional brushing.
