The Manchester Terrier (Toy and Standard) is a high-spirited, lively dog that will demand plenty of exercise. They enjoy ample opportunity to exercise and will do so inside or out. A Toy may be better for apartment living. The Manchester should be trained and socialized early, but should not be trusted with non-canine pets. Some can be dog aggressive. As a family dog it should be exposed to children as a puppy. Grooming requirements are minimal.
