The Finnish Spitz is a friendly and great family companion; very protective. Training will require dedication, consistency and patience. They can be noisy (known in Finland as the "barking bird dog"). Not for a family that has a lot of tension or with confrontational tendencies. Some males can be dog aggressive. They are a super clean dog and need little attention other than some brushing. Only trim under their pads, not their coat. They love to eat and obesity can be a problem.
