The Norwegian Buhund dog is a great family dog and people lover, especially children. It demands and gives a great deal of love and affection. It barks to communicate and to warn of approaching visitors. They are quick learners and early training and socialization will help ensure good manners. It wants and needs lots of exercise and "family-time" to include physical as well as mental work-outs. Games like frisbee, fetch and catch, as well as agility training, well help keep the Norwegian Buhund fit and happy. This is a life-loving dog that will get you on the go. Heavy shedding twice a year.
