An ancient Swedish, Spitz hunting dog, small in stature but with strong hunting instincts. They are a good family companion that gets along very good with children and other pets, even cats that are members of the family. They love their human beings. They get along with other dogs as long as the other dog is non-aggressive. They bark at the approach of someone but that can be controlled with commands. They are highly intelligent and easy to train although they will get bored with repetitive commands. It is a good candidate for agility and search and rescue work. The Norrbottenspets is an absolutely beautiful representation of the canine world. It is their looks that first catches your attention. Finding out that personality, health, longevity, hardiness and loyalty comes with the package, makes them one of a kind. It has no doggy odor.
