Does Your Dog Travel in Your Car?

Remember this: When the outside temperature is 93 degrees and the car window is down 1 1/2 inches, the inside temperature of the car reaches 125 degrees in 20 minutes, and 140 degrees in 40 minutes.

WAY, WAY TOO HOT FOR YOUR CANINE FRIEND!!! Also, remember that the surface of a road or parking lot is also VERY hot. You wouldn't walk bare-footed, neither should they.

My Dog is Cool The "dog days" of summer can be dangerous for dogs — especially those dogs left inside hot cars. Every year, countless dogs die after being locked in cars while their owners work, visit, shop, or run other errands. These tragic deaths are entirely preventable.
