Harriers are similar to Foxhounds except they're bred to hunt rabbits. They are good with other dogs but may not peacefully co-exist with non-canine pets. The Harrier loves to be a part of a human pack, especially if that pack is adventurous and active. They enjoy eating and digging, and an unchallenged Harrier will do too much of both. They are better "country-dogs" than apartment dogs. Their short coat makes them easy to groom.
