The curious Cairn Terrier is quick to learn and ready to investigate. Its size helps make it a great family dog with ample strength and patience to interact with children (once they "get to know" each other). It will need a firm owner and a consistent set of rules. A correction should be firm but not harsh. They should be leased or confined in a safe area - they love chasing the local little furry natives.
