Through The Eyes of a Mill Puppy

The following was written by Billie Evelyn Lange/Doss who states: "You may post this if you wish, just make sure everyone knows I wrote this while looking in the eye's of a dog I rescued from a mill as she died in my arms."

"Who asked for this not I or them ,
who asked for this not she not him
dreams of something we never knew was there
all the while licking filth from our hair.
This box is to small and food not enough this life as a mill puppy is beyond rough.
No hugs no kiss no toys for us today,
the souls of pain, anger and loss must be revived no matter the cost.
They try to break the love that's inside they try to run and they try to hide
as the people who care burst inside, they look upon us with tears in their eyes they look upon us they weep and they cry.
Hearts with love now we are taken into good hands and they now show us the real love of woman and man.
Rescued but for some it's to late the evil of the mill has foreseen their sad fate.
Eye's empty from never the touch of a loving hand, little cages 3x5 of wire for the "lucky few" now left empty because they busted you. Justice no never for what you have done,
do on to others is what they say well upon you I wish this in every way.
I wish you no sleep no food and no friends I wish upon you litters of 4 to 10.
I wish upon you sorrow, sadness and loss.
Most of all I wish you to pay the cost,
of what you have done to the puppy friends of mine who didn't deserve to be made to do time.
I will now go on and find a forever home that will love me and treat me as one of their own,
the scars of what you did will heal with time but forever a place will be held in the back of my mind.
My new home they love me and treat me with tender care for I am not just some puppy I am a little hero who lived through your despair.
I will tell my forever home just what I've been through and they will then understand why I do what I do.
When all is said and done things for me will work out fine but,
as for you your judgment will come with due time."

We STRONGLY recommend that you get your dog from a respectable breeder or rescue organization. Pet store puppies may get their dogs from Puppy Mills that normally breed only for profit, not quality or concern for the puppy or its eventual owner.
