The profiles are "general" to the breed. Factors that effect variations will be its breeding, training and socialization. Comments about the breeds acceptability with children assume that such an interaction is supervised, and that the children will not mistreat the dog. Know your dog well, learn its temperament and reactions to the various situations it will encounter, provide consistent training and handling. Any dog is capable of biting when faced with an out of the ordinary circumstance.

We also caution about buying a puppy online. This especially includes generic "puppy" ads that may appear on the Internet.
