The Bouvier des Flanders, or Bouvier, or Bouvie is a very versitle dog adapt at many "farmland" chores. They have a rough full coat and will require more than regular grooming to maintain an "unkempt" appearance. Bouvies are outdoor dogs with a need for running room. They are friendly with family children, but like other dogs they should be supervised when strangers are around. They need a firm owner with consistent handling. Please read "Don't Buy a Bouvier if…" " before getting a Bouvier.

We STRONGLY recommend that you get your dog from a respectable breeder or rescue organization. Pet store puppies may get their dogs from Puppy Mills that normally breed only for profit, not quality or concern for the puppy or its eventual owner.
