Larry and Hal from Colledge Bearded Collies
The Bearded Collie and "The Beardie Bounce!" A 50 pound, happy-go-lucky lump of fur with lots of energy and enthusiasm. Active and insistent in being an equal member of the family. Hairdressers to be will enjoy the opportunity of keeping the long hair free of knots. Because they are active dogs that should get at least several hours of walking each week. Or, the ability to roam in an enclosed yard - just remember that, like all dogs, they will roll around in whatever surface is available. They enjoy children and will probably try to herd them. The Beardie can be a barker but probably not a guard dog (too loving and trustful).

We STRONGLY recommend that you get your dog from a respectable breeder or rescue organization. Pet store puppies may get their dogs from Puppy Mills that normally breed only for profit, not quality or concern for the puppy or its eventual owner.
If you would like help locating a breeder or rescue agency near you please E-Mail PGAA ( ita408@comcast.net), and let us know your city/state and the type of dog you are looking for. Do not assume that PGAA has qualified all of the breeders or rescues on this site. Do your own check of each breeder or rescue -- be sure that you are comfortable with the organization before you buy, adopt or turn-over a dog. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
